Gundogs -Training Environment

Shooting
– During the shooting season pheasant shooting is available
over dogs in a training environment. Rough shooting
is available through arrangement with Swanway Gundogs.

Meadowland
–
Runs alongside River Allen. Formed of rushes and meadow
grass providing ideal ground for rabbits and pheasants.
excellent ground for teaching young dogs to hunt in light
cover in view of owners and handlers. |

Bracken/Woodland
– Access to woodland consisting of bracken, light bramble
cover and laid larch branches providing excellent cover
for teaching dogs to hunt in thicker cover on scent and
cover. |

|
Rabbit
Pen – Rabbit pen training available, providing
excellent opportunity to teach a dog to flush game under
the full control of the handler. Also, teaches the dog
to hunt in a specific pattern, which is required for the
shooting field and the gun. |

|
Lake
– Water training is available. This is useful for teaching
dogs of all ages to enter water and retrieve from water
back to the handler. |
